1. Information We Collect

• Account Data: Name, email, login credentials
   

• Location Data: GPS coordinates for map, weather, and location-based services (e.g., local wildlife predictions, territorial regulations, and ad suggestions)
   

• Photos & Audio: Media you upload (e.g., for species identification, track/sound analysis) is used to provide and enhance Dryads’ features and technology. You retain ownership of your content. However, by uploading media to the platform, you grant Dryads Outdoors Inc. a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, display, distribute, and create derivative works from that content. This license includes, but is not limited to:
   

  • Advertising and promotional use
     

  • Commercial resale (e.g., data aggregation or marketplace insights)
     

  • Unrelated AI training or algorithm development
    This applies to both public and private uploads (e.g., AI-analyzed images, audio recordings, GPS-tagged data). Dryads will never publish personally identifiable information or display private content (e.g., user names or photos tied to your identity) without your explicit consent.
     

• Device Data: OS version, device type, language preferences
   

• Usage Data: App activity (e.g., feature usage, marker creation, interaction with AI tools), preferences, subscription tier, ad interaction data
   

 

2. How We Use Your Data

• AI interactions (e.g., prompts and responses) may be logged to improve system performance and user support. These logs are anonymized when used for AI model improvements.
   

• To provide and improve core features of the app, including AI photo, sound, and text services
   

• To generate personalized recommendations (e.g., wildlife forecasts, terrain difficulty, fitness plans)
   

• To deliver location-aware ads and sponsor content based on region, outdoor interest, or in-app behavior
   

• To help identify and visualize regional trends, territory use, and ecological interactions (in anonymized form)
   

• To monitor usage patterns and feature performance
   

• To send notifications, updates, and limited marketing emails (opt-out available)
   

 

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data for third-party marketing purposes.

We may share user data with enterprise or white-label clients who are authorized to access specific subsets of user content or analytics through contractual agreements. Any such data sharing is governed by clear terms of service, use limitations, and confidentiality requirements. These arrangements never permit clients to contact individual users, and any identifying information is only shared if explicitly authorized by the user. For example, a conservation agency may be granted access to data showing deer migration movement for environmental monitoring purposes, without identifying individual users.

Anonymized and aggregated data may also be shared with:

• Research partners, conservation NGOs, or universities
   

• Government agencies (e.g., for wildlife tracking or land management initiatives)
   

• Advertising partners for delivery of relevant, region-specific content
   

Dryads never shares your name, contact info, or any identifying content with advertisers without your permission.

We never share photos, audio files, or personal details except where required by platform features or enterprise contracts with your consent.

We may disclose user information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, including in the event of illegal activity based on that user's content.

 

4. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access and review your personal data
   

• Request deletion of your account and data
   

• Opt out of non-essential communications

5. Data Storage & Security

We use secure cloud storage to protect your data. While we take precautions, no system is 100% secure.

 

6. Cookies and Tracking

Dryads may use cookies or tracking tools on our website to improve usability and performance.

You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. Users in some jurisdictions may also opt out of tracking via consent banners or privacy settings.

We do not currently respond to “Do Not Track” signals from web browsers.

 

7. Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without verified parental or guardian consent. Additionally, all users under the age of 18 are required to obtain parental or guardian consent before using the app. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such data without the proper consent, we will delete it promptly.

 

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update these terms and will notify you via in-app messages, email (if subscribed), and/or website banners. Material updates will be highlighted when applicable. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

 

9. Third-Party Services

Dryads integrates with external platforms (e.g., mapping, authentication, analytics, AI processing, and social sharing tools). These services may collect data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We encourage users to review those policies separately.

 

10. Data Retention

We retain user data only as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Users may request account deletion at any time via info@dryads.app.

 

11. Consent for Data Processing (International Users)

By using Dryads, you consent to the processing and transfer of your data to Canada, the United States, and your local jurisdiction, as your data is stored on servers located closest to your geographic location. Data protection laws in these locations may differ from those in your home country.

 

12. User-Generated Content

You are solely responsible for any content you upload to the platform. You agree not to upload copyrighted, offensive, explicit, or illegal content, including but not limited to pornography, depictions of violence, or any material that violates applicable laws. Dryads reserves the right to remove content that violates our Terms of Use or content policies.
